The house is located about 1.5 km before the town of Hinterstoder, in Upper Austria, where world cup ski competitions are held.

Hinterstoder is a small town, surrounded by a breath taking mountain panorama.

The house is on a slope, and has 2.5 hectar (25.000 square meters) of land around it, mostly trees, and a large lawn as well.

No other house is anywhere close to this one, no neighbour in sight.

Under current laws, it would be impossible to get a building permit on such idyllic and stand alone location.

The house was built in 1985, has a half basement and a built up upper floor under the roof.

It has thermal protection on the outside walls, and the roof was renewed in 2005.

The house was previously rented to a person, who breeds eagles and falcons. He had large cages on the lawn. His eagles acted in the German movie "Geierwally".
